Pudong Football Stadium

Shanghai Port moved in as tenants from 2023, and the stadium's silhouette — a curved white roof that gave it the nickname "White Porcelain Bowl" — was designed by the German firm HPP Architekten, with construction running from 28 April 2018 to the opening on 31 October 2020.

Football arrived late to a venue built for it. The first major event held there was not a match at all but the 2020 League of Legends World Championship final, won by DAMWON Gaming over Suning Gaming 3-1. The stadium had also been pencilled in as the intended final venue when China was awarded the 2023 Asian Cup, a plan that fell through when the country withdrew as host in 2022.

The pitch is natural turf, reinforced with a root-zone system rather than the hybrid surfaces now common at comparable Chinese venues built around the same period. Capacity is listed at 37,000, though the figure has moved: HPP's original design put it at 33,765, and the number recorded at opening was 33,756. The ground sits in the Jinqiao area of Pudong New Area, at No. 1288 Jinxiang Road.
