ŠRC Martjanci sits in the flatlands of the Pomurje region.

The ground lacks the grandeur of professional arenas. There are no floodlights, meaning evening games are impossible, and the capacity is a modest 1,000. The surface is natural grass, standard for the lower tiers of Slovenian football. While official records do not confirm the year of construction, a municipal document from 2012 described the site as a modern multi-purpose center, suggesting a rebuild or significant upgrade in the early 2000s rather than a mid-20th-century origin.

NK Čarda Martjanci has carved out a steady existence here. They won the Slovenian Third League in 2002–03 and claimed the Pomurska League title twice, most recently in 2023–24. The club celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2022, marking half a century of continuity in a place where change is slow. Historically, the team’s facilities were so basic that players used an old school classroom for changing rooms, a detail that speaks to the amateur spirit of the club.

Attendance figures are sparse, with a recorded 270 spectators for a PNL match against Aluvar Gančani and approximately 200 for a 3. SNL fixture in 2024. These numbers reflect the local nature of the competition, where fans are neighbours and acquaintances. Beyond football, the grounds serve the community. The annual Poletni turnir NK Čarda brings together youth teams from Pomurje, Styria, and Croatia, while the surrounding fields host the start of the Martin's Hike, organized by the local Tourist Society.

The pitch itself is sometimes referred to descriptively as 'Nogometno igrišče v Martjancih', acknowledging its simple function. It is a place where the game is played at a pace dictated by the seasons and the calendar of local events, not by the demands of national television coverage.
