Salon urheilupuisto
Salo, Finland
Formerly: Salon urheilupuisto
Since January 2025 the ground has carried a president's name. Sauli Niinistön urheilupuisto was renamed in his honour in August 2017, when he came back to formally reopen the arena after a lengthy reconstruction.
The site's sporting use goes back further than that. In 1925 the Joensuu estate donated a hectare of land for sport, and a running track was laid the following year. The athletics field standing today dates from 1949.
Natural grass covers the main pitch, though the wider park also holds artificial surfaces used by the same clubs. Salon Palloilijat (SalPa) and Salon Wilpas both play here, and the ground stages Finnish Cup ties alongside its regular league fixtures.
Away from match days, the park doubles as a city venue. It has hosted the Salo Friends & Music Festival, and in June 2026 stages a family concert tied to the children's programme Pikku Kakkonen.
