Sandy Park
Exeter, United Kingdom
Sandy Park is the home of the Exeter Chiefs.
The stadium’s character comes from two phases of expansion rather than a single design. The first stage reached a capacity of 12,500, a figure the venue held during the 2015 Rugby World Cup, which brought two quarter-final matches to Exeter. The second stage, the new East Stand, pushed the total to 15,600. The surface has not changed since.
The record for a Premiership fixture stands at 14,876, set during the final day of the 2021–22 season against Harlequins. The women’s game has also played here, with a record of 10,545 for a Women’s Six Nations match against Italy in 2019. There is no sponsorship name to confuse the wayfinding; the ground has always been Sandy Park.
