Scudamore Field at NKU Soccer Stadium

The name over the gate is younger than the ground under it. For thirteen seasons this was simply the NKU Soccer Stadium, or the NKU Soccer Field depending on who was writing the team sheet; in August 2022 it became Scudamore Field at NKU Soccer Stadium, after a bequest from the estate of Joyce "Brenda" Hoskins, née Scudamore. Before that, no sponsor's name had ever been attached to it.

What sets it apart from the row of small college grounds it otherwise resembles is who shares it. The Northern Kentucky Norse men's and women's sides play here in NCAA Division I, and since 2022 the field has also carried FC Cincinnati 2 of MLS Next Pro — a professional reserve side working on a campus pitch.

The seated capacity of 1,000 understates the place, because standing room is allowed behind it. That is how the ground came to hold 2,522 on 21 August 2016, for a men's exhibition against the University of Kentucky that the Norse won 3–0. The crowd cheered them on past a mark set only a year earlier, when 2,188 had come through the gates.

The surface is SportGrass, laid in the spring of 2019 by The Motz Group across a pitch of 120 by 75 yards, and other NKU outdoor sides train on it as well.

The stadium's largest occasion came in 2010, when the NCAA Division II championship reached its closing rounds here and the NKU men won it. Plans discussed in March 2024 would spend $16 million in Kentucky state money on new changing rooms and training pitches; that work is not finished.
