What breaks the routine has come in bursts. In August 2024 the ground hosted a fourth-round Südwestpokal tie against VfR Wormatia Worms, and the home side needed extra time to see it off, 2-1, in front of 600 spectators. A year later, in August 2025, the club returned to Gau-Odernheim for the opening league fixture of 2025/26 against TuS Koblenz, and roughly 500 turned out. The same month brought a DFB-Pokal tie against Eintracht Frankfurt.

The pitch had grass relaid in 2018, and it remains natural turf rather than the artificial surface some accounts briefly suggested.
