Sporthalle an der Ulmenallee: Stadium in Blomberg

It does not announce itself. There are no towers, no distinctive roofline, and no public face to speak of. The building sits at Ulmenallee 32 within the Schul- und Sportzentrum Blomberg, where it shares the complex with the secondary school that opened its doors on 1 August 2014. The hall itself is known locally as Sporthalle 2 or BU2, though the longer name remains the official one.

Inside, the floor is synthetic, a blue surface that replaced the original covering in 2013 and received another new layer in May 2021. It is the home ground for the handball team HSG Blomberg-Lippe. The team has used the venue for qualification rounds in the Women's EHF European League.

The hall has no former names. It has not been renamed, nor has it taken on a sponsor's name. It remains what it has always been called: Sporthalle an der Ulmenallee. The address is Ulmenallee 32, 32825 Blomberg.
