Sportplatz Brunnenweg
Stuhr, Germany
Formerly: no data
Ask locally about the ground on Brunnenweg and the conversation turns quickly to the pitch rather than the stands. Brinkumer SV have played on this artificial surface since 1 November 2014, when the club replaced the old turf.
The ground itself dates back further, opened in 1974 as part of the wider Brunnenweg sports centre in Brinkum, a district of Stuhr in Lower Saxony. It has stayed a community fixture more than a landmark: capacity sits at around 2,200.
One occasion did draw a bigger name than usual. In 2024, a legends match featuring former Werder Bremen players brought roughly 800 spectators through the gates — well short of capacity.
No attendance record for the venue has surfaced in club or local reporting. For Brinkumer SV, the Brunnenweg remains what it has been since the 1970s: a home pitch rather than a showcase, its one real reinvention being the surface underfoot.
