Sportplatz Heinrich-Zille-Straße

Stahnsdorf, Germany

The Sportplatz Heinrich-Zille-Straße sits on land that was once part of the Schlieffen-Kaserne complex, built during the rearmament of the 1930s. Located in Stahnsdorf, a municipality adjacent to Berlin, the ground is named after the street, which honours the artist Heinrich Zille.

It is the home of RSV Eintracht 1949, a club with deep roots in the post-war era. The pitch is natural grass, and while the official licensed capacity for league matches is 1,800, the historic high was set during a friendly with Hertha BSC, when 1,751 spectators gathered to watch. The club, which fields first-team, U19, and women’s sides, has occasionally moved matches to the Preussenstadion in Berlin when the local facility could not accommodate larger crowds.

The ground has hosted significant cup football. In May 2025, it welcomed Energie Cottbus for a Brandenburg Cup semi-final. The match ended 1–1 after extra time, and RSV Eintracht won 3–0 on penalties, with goalkeeper Michael Hemicker saving three shots. The victory led to a pitch invasion.
