Stade de la Licorne
Amiens, France
Formerly: Stade de la Licorne
Display screens hang from the structure, and advertising boards line the edge of the pitch. The surface is a green hybrid pitch, a reinforced natural grass system that looks well-maintained. Players in training kits can be seen moving across the grass during practice sessions, and the floodlights glow brightly against the evening sky.
The stadium opened in 1999, replacing the old Stade Moulonguet. It was designed by Chaix et Morel et Associés with structural engineering by AR & C. Amiens SC moved in as the main tenant, and the club still plays there. During the 2014–15 season, RC Lens used the venue while their own ground, Stade Bollaert-Delelis, was being renovated for UEFA Euro 2016. The capacity is 12,097, though various sources give slightly different figures. Major renovations were completed in 2018 after a section of the stands collapsed during a match against OSC Lille. The work included a new undersoil heating system, luminotherapy, new seats, and an ETFE roof. The stadium's official name changed to Stade Crédit Agricole la Licorne following a sponsorship deal with Crédit Agricole Brie Picardie.
