Stade Taïeb Mhiri

The entrance to Stade Taïeb Mhiri is marked by a broad archway built from light-coloured stone. Built during the French protectorate, it opened in the late 1930s as Stade Henri Couderc before being renamed after independence. The original name honoured a municipal councilor, whereas the current one commemorates a Tunisian politician and former Minister of the Interior.

The most recent overhaul was intended to secure CAF homologation for the Champions League and Confederation Cup. Work included new seating and commentary booths, and high-intensity lighting systems arrived in April 2025 to replace the older array visible at the edge of the frame.

The stadium gained prominence when it hosted matches during the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations, including the encounter between Cameroon and Tunisia. It was also the site of the second leg of the 2007 CAF Confederation Cup final, where CS Sfaxien defeated Al Merreikh to lift the trophy. More recently, the club kept their heads through a difficult period following a tragic incident in Tribune 4, where a prominent supporter died during a domestic league match. The ground sits on the outskirts of the city, near the airport, and the weather often turns against the players, with matches played in driving rain leaving the approach to the gates slick with water.
