Stadio Franco Ossola sits in the Masnago district of Varese. It is not the largest venue in the city, but it is the one that has remained in use through every change.

The stadium opened in 1935 as Stadio del Littorio and was renamed in 1950 to honour Franco Ossola, the Torino player who died in the Superga air disaster. Between those dates it was known simply as Stadio di Masnago.

It is still there, and it was the site of the 1971 UCI Track Cycling World Championships. A redevelopment plan to raise the capacity to 12,000 was put forward in 2024, but it has not yet moved beyond the tender stage.
