Stadion 700-lecia Środy Wielkopolskiej
Środa Wielkopolska, Poland
The ground at ul. Sportowa 12 has been the fixture since 1921, long before the new stadium opened next door in 2024.
The older ground was named in 1967 to mark seven centuries of town rights, the same year the city took on the suffix Wielkopolska. The structure itself does not hide its age. The stands on the east side were rebuilt around 2011 with steel frames, while the west side keeps a banked tribune from the socialist era. A commentator's cabin sits in a tower on the eastern flank. There is no floodlighting; the pitch is measured at 100 by 68 metres on natural grass.
The capacity is 3,115. KS Polonia Środa Wielkopolska now plays in the lower tiers of Polish football. The club was founded in 1919.
The complex includes other fields: three more natural grass pitches and two artificial surfaces, one for field hockey. The site is owned by the City of Środa Wielkopolska. There are no former names for the stadium; it has carried the same title since 1967. The official attendance record is not documented in available sources, though a recent match drew 500 spectators.
When the new stadium arrived, the old one did not close.
