Stadion GOSiR

The structure at ul. Olimpijska 5/9 sits on the site of a ground that had existed since 1931, a place that underwent major renovations in the 1960s before being demolished in 2009 to make way for this concrete and steel replacement. The new facility opened in February 2011 after a full rebuild to meet UEFA Category 3 standards.

What distinguishes the place most clearly is the arrangement of the seats seen from the pitch.

Arka Gdynia moved into the stadium in 2011 and plays their home games here, though for the 2014/15 season they officially reduced the registered capacity to 7,000 for league matches due to low attendance. Bałtyk Gdynia also uses the venue. The name "GOSiR" comes from the operator, the Gdynia Sports and Recreation Centre, though the operator was renamed Gdynia Sports Centre in 2015. The popular name remained unchanged. The stadium hosted Poland youth national teams during the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup and was part of the infrastructure preparations for Euro 2012, even though it did not host tournament matches. It also saw an American football friendly between Poland and Belgium in 2015.
