The club has changed its name several times since the stadium was first built, yet the location on the Krommedijk has remained constant. The pitch itself is a straightforward rectangle of natural grass, bordered by white lines. There is nothing artificial about the setting; it is a place that has existed alongside the town for decades, surviving periods of decline and recent renovation without losing its basic character. The capacity is now modest, a far cry from the days when the ground could hold thousands more, but it still holds the community.
