The ground sits on a hillside terrace above Мостар . Стадион под Бийели Бриег opened on 7 September 1958 as the home of ФК Вележ Мостар ; since 1992 the tenant has been ХШК Зриньски Мостар .
What settled the arrangement was not a lease but a concession. From 2000 the stadium has been run by Зриньски on a 109-year term. It renamed the arena Стадион ХШК Зриньски and registered the change with the football federation of Босния и Герцеговина, though the older name remains the one in common use.
The rebuilding came in 2023–2024. The old eastern stand was pulled down at a cost of 280,000 convertible marks, borne by the club, and replaced by a new 4,000-seat structure. The pitch was relaid at the same time with hybrid grass, funded through UEFA.
The address on the club's paperwork is Bijeli Brijeg bb, in the district the stadium takes its name from.
