Sandanski Stadium

Sandanski Stadium is a modern structure, but one that carries the weight of local history. While the club inside has changed names several times, the ground has been known as Spartak or the City Stadium for generations.

The pitch itself is natural grass, a surface that has been replaced in recent years as part of a wider reconstruction effort. The capacity is a matter of debate depending on who you ask. The exact date of the original opening remains uncertain, lost to time.

Despite its relatively modest size, the ground has hosted moments that echo beyond the region. It was here that the local side secured a 1-0 victory over the capital giants, Levski Sofia, in 2008.
