The name comes with a story most rivals don't have to explain. Szamosi Mihály played for Sortex, the club now known as Soroksár SC, and after his death in 2005 the pitch in the Soroksár district took his name. Before that he'd carried a different one — he was born Seiler and switched to the Magyarised form in 1946.
What's left is unglamorous by design: a worn, ageing ground on Haraszti út, tucked into a residential corner of Budapest far from the city's larger arenas, holding 5,000 on a natural grass pitch that has clearly seen more seasons than renovations.
