Huachipato-CAP Acerero

The ground sits in the Las Higueras neighbourhood of Talcahuano, built where the old Estadio Las Higueras once stood. The former site was cleared in 2008, and construction began shortly after. The new arena opened to an experimental crowd in September before a proper inauguration in November, when Chile played Paraguay.

The steel structure is distinct, with blue and grey panels running along the roofline. A tall blue floodlight tower rises above the main stand, standing out against the green trees that cover the hillside behind. The seats are arranged in blocks of blue and grey, separated by yellow stairways. Red railings line the front of the seating area, and a "JUEGO LIMPIO" sign sits near the pitchside barrier.

Huachipato FC calls this place home. They have lifted titles here, including the Clausura in 2012, and again in 2023. The ground also hosts Chile national team fixtures, with the opening match against Paraguay drawing a full house. The capacity varies between sources; some list 10,500 while others record 10,032. The attendance record of 10,500 remains from that inaugural international.

The pitch is natural grass, and the surface appears well-maintained. Advertising boards for Gatorade and La Araucana are visible on the exterior. The stadium does not have its own independent website, with information managed through the club's digital channels.
