Werner Park (2020–2025), Morrison Stadium (from 2026)
Papillion, United States
Football came here as a guest, and the guest has now gone. Union Omaha used the ground from 2020 through 2025 before moving for the 2026 season to Morrison Stadium on the Creighton University campus in Omaha.
The tenant who was here first has not moved. Werner Park was built for the Omaha Storm Chasers, the Triple-A baseball club, and opened on 16 April 2011 to a design by HOK Sport, now HOK. That opening was itself the end of a move: the team had played at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha until it closed in 2010. The replacement went up not in Omaha but in Papillion, on Ballpark Way, with 6,000 seats and a natural surface of Kentucky bluegrass and ryegrass.
The name has held as long as the building has. Werner Enterprises bought the rights before the gates first opened and has kept them since; the agreement now runs to 2030.
Baseball's Triple-A All-Star Game was played here on 15 July 2015. Beyond the sport, the calendar fills with concerts — Hinder in 2015, Big & Rich in 2016, FOR KING + COUNTRY in 2020, Flo Rida in 2022, Crowder in 2023, Nick Hexum in 2025 — and with events that have nothing to do with either code: the travelling Wall That Heals replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, charity runs, and the Santa's Rock N Lights drive each Christmas. Between them they draw 500,000 to 600,000 people a year.
