Wutaishan Sports Center

In August 2017 the authorities moved a Chinese Super League fixture between Jiangsu Suning and Tianjin Quanjian off its date.

Designed by HOK Sport, now Populous, it opened on 1 May 2005, construction having begun on 28 January 2002, in time to stage the opening and closing ceremonies of the tenth Chinese National Games along with the football and the athletics. Nine years later the stadium and the centre's pool took the football, swimming and diving of the Summer Youth Olympic Games.

The name arrived by a longer route than the building did. In planning it was the Nanjing Sports Center; it became the Nanjing Longjiang Sports Center after the district it was then meant to stand beside; once the site shifted and the Olympic work began, it settled as the Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre, and the official name has never given way to a sponsor's.

Jiangsu Suning filled the ground until the club was dissolved in 2021. The record football crowd, 48,973, came on 22 April 2018, with two nights in 2016 not far behind it — against Shandong, then against Shanghai SIPG. The semi-finals and third-place match of the China Cup were played here in 2019. Nanjing City are the tenants now, and the Chinese Super Cup between Shanghai Port and Beijing Guoan is scheduled for the stadium in 2026, on grass kept to Super League standard.
