Zimní stadion Příbram

The main entrance for the arena is a facility that has been operating in Příbram since 1971. The original capacity was significantly larger, but the current setup accommodates a smaller crowd, reflecting changes made over the decades.

The facility maintains two covered ice surfaces using an ammonia cooling system, a setup that requires constant maintenance. This became particularly apparent in May 2018, when a significant leak forced the evacuation of the stadium and the adjacent aquapark. The incident was a stark reminder of the age of the infrastructure, which has undergone various upgrades since its inception, including a major cooling plant replacement in 2001.

The arena serves as the home for HC Baník Příbram. The women’s team has been particularly dominant recently, securing championships in consecutive seasons from 2018/19 through to 2023/24. The men’s side plays in the third tier, but the venue hosts international youth tournaments as well, such as the 4 Nations Tournament U20 in 2022.
