About the player
Adil Taoui He made 34 appearances there and scored four goals, playing 26 matches in the Bundesliga and four in European competition. He arrived in October 2022 as a free agent on a two-year deal. His time at the club ended in the summer of 2025 by mutual consent.
The route there began in youth football. Taoui moved through AS St-Louis Val de l'Aurence, JA Isle and Limoges FC before joining Toulouse in 2015. At Toulouse he played for the reserve side from 2018 and made three first-team appearances between 2019 and 2021. His contract there ended in January 2021.
He then signed for Bastia on a free transfer and played 15 times for the club before moving on to Austria.
Taoui also played for France at youth level. For the Under-16s he won eight caps and scored three goals in 2016 and 2017. In 2019 he added three caps and a goal for the Under-18s, and he took part in the Maurice Revello Tournament. He holds French and Algerian citizenship but has not been capped by either country at senior level.
On 15 February 2026 he joined Lokomotiv Sofia as a free agent. By early 2026 he had made five appearances in the First Professional League and set up one goal.
