Carlos Soler Barragán

Carlos Soler came through Valencia's academy — via Bonrepòs and Valencia B — before breaking into the first team in 2016, and by the time he left he had made 182 appearances and scored 31 goals for the club. His signature moment there came in November 2020, when he scored a hat-trick of penalties against Real Madrid, becoming only the second player in La Liga history to do so. He was also Valencia's top scorer in La Liga in both 2020–21 and 2021–22.

In August 2022 Paris Saint-Germain paid an initial €18 million for him, a fee that could rise to €21 million with add-ons. In Paris he won two Ligue 1 titles, the Coupe de France and the Trophée des Champions, though by January 2024 he had moved out on loan to West Ham United, where he made 31 appearances and scored once.

Real Sociedad signed him permanently on 1 September 2025 on a contract until 2029, with reports of the fee varying between €6 million for half his economic rights and €8 million plus a resale clause. He has made 40 appearances and scored five goals for the Basque club, and in April 2026 he helped them win the Copa del Rey, scoring his spot-kick in the shootout against Atlético Madrid.

Internationally, Soler won the UEFA European Under-21 Championship in 2019 and an Olympic silver medal at the Tokyo Games. He made his senior debut for Spain in September 2021 against Sweden and scored against Costa Rica at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, taking his tally to four goals in 15 caps.
