About the player
Carlitos was born in Lisbon and holds dual nationality, having represented both Portugal and Angola; he has been called up to the Angolan national team. The midfielder, full name Norberto Carlos Costa Santos, began his senior career at CD Pinhalnovense in Portugal before a spell at S.U. 1º Dezembro.
He then moved abroad, joining the Cypriot side PO Xylotymbou in the second half of 2021. A few months later he switched to Nea Salamis, where he settled for an extended run of nearly four years, before his move to Akritas on a free transfer.
A right-footed central midfielder standing 185 cm tall, Carlitos has built his career largely within Cypriot football.
