About the player
Dominik Csontos came through Fehérvár's academy before moving on to Ferencváros, where he broke into the first team in 2019 and won the Nemzeti Bajnokság I title in the 2019–20 season. His path to regular football ran through a loan spell at Soroksár, where he made 45 league appearances and scored three goals across two divisions.
What followed was a run of short, restless moves. A subsequent move to Zalaegerszeg brought no competitive league appearances at all before he joined Budapest Honvéd in January 2025.
He scored twice in nine appearances during the 2024–25 Nemzeti Bajnokság I campaign, then found the net eleven times in 29 games after the club's relegation to NB II the following season. He has continued that form into the current NB I campaign, with two goals in six appearances so far.
He is left-footed and plays primarily as a left-back, and is not to be confused with the older striker of the same surname, Zoltán Csontos.
