About the player

Daris Djezic came through Rapid Wien's academy after moving there in 2017 from spells at SV Stockerau and SV Leobendorf, and it was in September 2023 that he stepped up to make his senior debut for Rapid Wien II. That first season could hardly have gone better: Djezic and his side won the Regionalliga Ost, earning promotion to the 2. Liga.

He made his league debut at the higher level in August 2024 against SV Horn, and went on to make 14 appearances with two goals in the 2024–25 2. Liga campaign. By the end of the 2025–26 season, his overall tally for Rapid Wien II had climbed to 44 appearances and seven goals. He has also won the U16 Youth League with Rapid Wien, part of a run of youth honours before his step into senior football.

Djezic has already had a taste of international football, earning one cap for Austria's under-18 side in May 2024. Born in Hollabrunn, he holds Austrian citizenship, with some reports also noting Bosnian-Herzegovinian heritage. His contract at Rapid Wien II runs to 2027, giving the club time to assess whether the winger, right-footed despite playing predominantly on the left, can push on from the reserve side towards senior recognition.
