About the player
Dimitar Todorov is a Ruse man through and through: born in the city, raised in Dunav Ruse's academy, and still there as a left-back for the first team he came up through. He progressed from the club's U17 and U19 sides before making his senior debut in the 2019–20 Parva Liga season, and he signed a contract with the first team on 1 July 2021 that runs to 30 June 2027.
Dunav Ruse were relegated from the top flight in 2020, and Todorov spent time out of the senior picture, turning out for the reserve side, Dunav Ruse II, in the Third League (North-East) across the 2021–22 and 2022–23 seasons. He never left the club, and he never dropped down to another one. Promotion back to the Vtora Liga followed in 2022, and the long road home was completed when Dunav Ruse won the Second League in 2025–26 to return to the First League, with Todorov part of the squad that got them there.
He plays as a left-footed left-back, comfortable enough further forward to have also been used on the left of midfield, and wears the number 88 shirt. There is no senior or youth call-up to Bulgaria on his record yet.
