Daniil Veselov

Daniil Veselov came through Chertanovo's academy in Moscow, working his way through the club's youth system before leaving in 2022 for Krylia Sovetov Samara, where he spent most of his time with the reserve side in the Russian Second League. A loan to FK Chelyabinsk followed for the 2023–2024 season, making close to two dozen appearances and keeping eight clean sheets.

That form led to a move to Lokomotiv Moscow in July 2024, where he signed a three-year contract. Veselov spent the early part of his time at the club as a substitute, an unused option on the bench for a 1–0 win over Rostov while Ilya Lantratov played in goal. His senior debut came later that season in the FONBET Russian Cup, with his first start arriving in a group-stage defeat to CSKA Moscow. He started again in a 3–1 win over Akron Tolyatti in the same competition.

Veselov has represented Russia extensively at youth level. He made 16 appearances for the under-16 side, including a spell at the Torneo Delle Nazioni in Italy, before adding six caps for the under-17s during their qualifying campaign for the 2022 UEFA European Under-17 Championship. More recently, he has earned three caps for the under-21 team in friendly matches. He has also been called into senior national team training camps, though he has yet to make his debut for the first team.
