Dženan Pejčinović

Dženan Pejčinović could have built an international career with Montenegro, where he won six caps and scored once for the under-15s in 2019. Instead the pathway led back to Germany, and he worked his way up through every age group from the under-16s to the under-21s, scoring freely along the way — among them roughly fifteen goals in his under-17 appearances and a Fritz Walter Medal in silver as the outstanding under-19 talent of 2024.

His route into the professional game ran through Bavaria. He left Bayern Munich's academy in 2017 for FC Augsburg, then in July 2022 completed a move to VfL Wolfsburg for a fee of around €1.25 million. A loan at Fortuna Düsseldorf in the 2. Bundesliga followed for the 2024/25 season, and he marked his debut there with a goal in August 2024 before returning to Wolfsburg.

Back in Wolfsburg colours for 2025/26, Pejčinović was voted the club's Player of the Season. The campaign's defining moment came on 20 December 2025, when he scored a hat-trick against SC Freiburg and was named Man of the Match. In August 2026 he moved on again, joining VfB Stuttgart for €25 million on a five-year contract, and needed no time to settle in: he scored a hat-trick on his competitive debut for the club, in the DFB Cup against Hansa Rostock.
