About the player
Gabi Caschili has moved twice inside two years without ever costing a transfer fee, leaving PEC Zwolle for SC Cambuur as a free agent in July 2023 and, on 4 August 2026, joining Telstar on a one-year deal with the option of a second. The Telstar move reunited him with Henk Brugge.
Born in Emmen, Caschili holds both Dutch and Italian nationality, picking up caps at under-16, under-17 and under-19 level, including a goal for the under-19 side. He made his senior debut for PEC Zwolle in the KNVB Cup in December 2021.
He made 14 league appearances between 2021 and 2023 and scored his first senior goal against VVV-Venlo in 2022. The move to Cambuur brought more minutes still, 17 league appearances across two seasons, with a goal against TOP Oss in 2023. He has established himself as a dependable option in the back line, without yet collecting a major individual award or team title.
