About the player
Melih Bostan left Fenerbahçe in August 2024 for Konyaspor for a reported fee of about 250,000 euros. He signed a three-year contract, and Fenerbahçe kept a buy-back option.
He had spent eight years at Fenerbahçe by then. He came through the youth ranks of Derincespor and Derince Birlikspor and joined Fenerbahçe in 2016. His first professional contract followed in 2021. He never made a league appearance for the senior side. His experience of men's football came on loan: eight matches and a goal for Serik Belediyespor, then eleven appearances and two goals for Eskişehirspor in 2023.
At Konyaspor he made 20 appearances and scored once. The move that brought the most goals came in January 2026, when he joined Sakaryaspor on a free loan for the rest of the 2025/2026 season. He wore the number 15 shirt and scored four times in 15 matches.
Bostan has been part of Turkey's youth sides for several years. He scored a penalty against Denmark for the Under-16s in November 2019. He has also played for the Under-17s and Under-19s, and has six appearances for the Under-21s. He has not yet played for the senior national team.
He is a right-footed forward from İzmit.
