About the player
Philipp Bauer left Salzburg for Vienna as an 18-year-old goalkeeper and came back to the city a season later.
His football began in Salzburg. He joined UFC Leopoldskron-Moos in September 2012 and stayed until March 2019, when he moved to SV Seekirchen. He later went to ASV Salzburg, where he played senior football in the Salzburger Liga.
The step up came in July 2025. Floridsdorfer AC of the 2. Liga signed him on a one-year contract, taking a goalkeeper who had so far played only in the regional league. It was the first time he had left the Salzburg area for a professional club. The move did not involve a transfer fee.
His deal in Floridsdorf ran out in May 2026. On 28 May he returned to Austria Salzburg, the club also known as ASV Salzburg, and signed a new contract for the 2026/27 season. It was a second move without a fee.
His route so far has run from Leopoldskron-Moos and Seekirchen to the second tier in Vienna, and back to the club where he first played senior football.
