About the player
Recep Taşbakır came through the youth ranks in Ankara, starting out at Gölbaşı Belediye Spor before a season with Osmanlıspor's youth setup and then joining Ankaraspor's structure in 2017, where he progressed through to the Sincan Belediyesi Ankaraspor U19 side. He stepped up to the Ankaraspor senior squad in 2020 and, during that spell, spent the 2021–2022 season on loan at Hacettepe 1945 Spor.
His best season by output came in 2023/24, when he made 35 league appearances for Ankaraspor in the 2. Lig Beyaz, scoring five goals and adding three assists.
The move to Keçiörengücü, known to supporters as Keçtaş, brought a step up to the 1. Lig, though his early involvement was more modest: seven league appearances in 2024/25, with one assist to his name. In January 2026, he was loaned out again, this time to 12 Bingölspor for the remainder of the 2025/2026 season, with the arrangement due to run until 30 June 2026. He has not yet been called into any Turkish national team setup, at senior or youth level.
