About the player
Ryan Bidounga is a defender who scored four goals in the Bulgarian First League in the 2025/26 season.
He was born in Rambouillet, France, and came through a run of youth clubs: Vigneux, Montgeron, Brétigny and then Nancy, where he spent 2012 to 2015. He played for France at U16 and U17 level, but he later switched allegiance to the Republic of the Congo. He made his senior debut for Congo in March 2022 and has won 10 caps, appearing in qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations and the World Cup.
His senior career began at Nancy II, where he stayed from 2015 to 2019. He also went out on loan during that period and played for the Nancy first team in 2019–20.
His move to Bulgaria came in February 2022, when he joined Lokomotiv Plovdiv on a free transfer. Eleven months later, in January 2023, CSKA 1948 Sofia paid €0.1 million for him. He stayed with the club until January 2025, when he went on loan to Lokomotiv Sofia.
