About the player
It closed one chapter and opened another for a forward who had never worn another Serie A shirt as a senior professional.
Cantore's path to Juventus ran through Fiammamonza, where she helped the club win promotion to Serie B before signing for the Bianconere in 2017. The Sassuolo loan ended early when a fibula fracture cut short her 2021–22 campaign after she had already scored eight goals in fourteen appearances.
Her international career has followed a similar arc of gradual rise. After coming through Italy's youth ranks, Cantore made her senior debut against Denmark in December 2020 and has since gone on to earn 37 caps and five goals for the national team.
