About the player
He started out at six in the FC Khimki academy under coach Sergey Bogomolov, and at eight was brought into CSKA's youth setup by scout Denis Mashkarin. Under coach Sergei Ovchinnikov he was moved straight from the youth ranks into the first-team environment, skipping CSKA-2 altogether, and he was training with the senior squad and included in a matchday squad by the age of 15, in August 2019. He signed his first professional contract that December.
He made his Russian Premier League debut in May 2022, and in 2025 signed a contract extension with CSKA running to 2030.
In March 2025 he set the record for the longest run without conceding in the Russian Cup, at 656 minutes, having already become the first CSKA goalkeeper to play eight matches in a single edition of the competition, in 2023/24. He now ranks among the top five goalkeepers in the Cup's history by number of clean sheets.
