Zihao Yang

Zihao Yang's route to Yunnan Yukun ran through the Shanghai Port academy and a loan spell with China's under-19 side before a permanent transfer to Tianjin Jinmen Tiger reshaped his career. He joined Tianjin on loan in 2021 and scored on one of his four appearances that season; the club made the move permanent the following April. He stayed at Tianjin through the end of 2025, settling into the left-back role over 66 appearances without adding to his goal tally.

Yang signed for Yunnan Yukun on a free transfer at the start of January 2026, a move that put to rest earlier reports suggesting he had already joined the club back in 2023 — reports at odds with the fact that he had no part in Yunnan's back-to-back promotion campaigns that took the club into the Chinese Super League in 2024.

At international level, Yang's involvement has stayed at youth level. He featured for the under-23s across 2023 and 2024, with further caps for the under-22 side in 2023, but has not been called into the senior national team.
