Cavaliers

Cavaliers have not won the Benin Premier League, the Coupe du Bénin or the Super Coupe. Jeunesse Athlétique du Plateau (JAP) left Nikki for Pobè in 2010, won the league in 2012–13 and later became JA Kétou. Cavaliers FC de Nikki is a separate club.

The club was founded in 1995 as AS Cavaliers, and the name goes back to the town's reputation as the city of the Bariba horsemen. Its nearest competition is Buffles du Borgou in Parakou. No derby name has grown up around those meetings, so the fixtures are simply regional games between neighbours.

The full name is Union Sportive des Cavaliers FC de Nikki, shortened to US Cavaliers or USCN. The team plays in black and white at the Stade de Nikki, also called the Stade Omnisports, which holds 1,500 spectators. Its news and results go out through a Facebook page, not a website.

Few of its players have made a name beyond the region. Faizou Kpara is the one most often mentioned as a former Cavaliers player.
