Chełmianka Chełm

The club merged with Gwardia Chełm as MKS Granica and moved into Gwardia's ground. Granica were relegated, the money ran out, and the club was dissolved in 1999.

It came back the same year as Chełmski Klub Sportowy (CHKS), in the fifth tier. On 20 August 1955 it had been founded as MKS Start Chełm from several local sides, and in the decades that followed it changed its name almost as often as its sponsor: Kolejowy KS Chełmianka after absorbing the railway club Kolejarz, Zjednoczeni Chełm for two years in the mid-1970s. The name Chełmianka Chełm returned in 2001, the year the side won the IV Liga, the fourth tier, in the Chełm group.

The high point came earlier. Chełmianka finished 7th in the II liga, the second tier, in 1976–77 and again in 1982–83, and it has not played above the third tier since. The V Liga in 2003–04, the IV Liga's Lublin group in 2009–10.

Supporters call the side the Biało-Zieloni , the White and Greens, and locally also "Chełmska Husaria", the Chełm Hussars.
