One of the reserve side's first pieces of silverware came without a final being played: the opponent withdrew, and the Kraków regional cup went to Wieczysta by default.

The reserves exist because of what happened to the senior club. Wieczysta dates to 1942, with informal roots reaching back to 1936. In 2020 Wojciech Kwiecień took it over and rebuilt it, and the club has since climbed from the regional leagues to a place in the Ekstraklasa for 2026/27. The second team sits beneath that climb. It plays in the fourth or fifth tier depending on the season, and in 2024/25 it was in IV Liga Małopolska.

Those lower divisions put the club against the reserve sides of its neighbours. Cracovia II and Wisła Kraków II are the fixtures that carry weight there, and the yellow-and-black side has beaten both in cup ties. It won the Lesser Poland district cup, Kraków group, by beating Wisła II in the final. Both clubs are far bigger than Wieczysta's second string, so the ties are treated as local derbies.

The Yellow-Blacks, as the club is known, share their colours and nickname with the first team. Players from the youth system, among them Maciej Papież and Mateusz Niechciał, have come through the same structure.
