The old ground had a different life. It hosted two matches during the 1958 World Cup, a tournament that passed through this part of Sweden. Those games drew crowds that sit somewhere between twenty thousand and twenty thousand two hundred and eighty-eight, figures that outstrip the present-day card.
Today the football tenants share the surface with a women's team and a side playing in the third tier. The two sports occupy the same plot, each with its own name for the place, each with its own version of the history.
