Francistown City Council Stadium

Where a newer arena stands for international matches, the Old Francistown Stadium remains the quieter ground.

What makes the ground different is the absence of modern lighting. Without floodlights, the stadium has been forced to rely on daylight for evening fixtures. The capacity remains small at 4,000, a figure set after the 1996 renovation intended to host African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

There are no grand claims about the history here; the stadium simply exists, operated by the Francistown City Council, keeping its place in the community while the larger Obed Itani Chilume Stadium takes the spotlight for bigger games.
