Kırıkhan Şehir Stadyumu

Kırıkhan Şehir Stadyumu sits in a town that has known its share of upheaval. It opened on April 30, 2011, after construction began the previous year. The ground holds 6,500 spectators on paper, yet the number is misleading. On February 6, 2023, the Kahramanmaraş earthquake struck Hatay province with devastating force. Following that disaster, only a 1,500-person section of the stands was certified as structurally safe for matches.

It serves as the home for Kırıkhanspor, a club founded in 1938, long before the stadium itself stood. The team’s most successful period came in the 1984/85 season when they won the 3. Lig and earned promotion to the 2. Lig. The team currently plays in the Spor Toto 3. Lig. The pitch is natural grass. The stadium underwent a ground renovation in June 2017.

There is no official record of the highest attendance ever to pass through its gates. The inauguration match against Karsspor ended in a 1-1 draw, attended by officials such as Sadullah Ergin and the local governor.
