Slavia Prague beat Opava 114-81 at home in the Czech NBL on Wednesday evening. The hosts made it two wins in a row, having taken down USK Prague 88-80 four days earlier. Opava's losing streak picked up a third straight, and they remain sixth in the table after 22 games.
Slavia found their rhythm early and never let up. The shooting numbers tell the story: fourteen three-pointers made from forty-three attempts, compared to ten from thirty-six for the visitors. That kind of range is what separates teams that run the show from ones that just try to keep up.
To be fair, Opava did not come in without options. They grabbed more rebounds than you would expect from a side playing away, twenty-five defensive boards against eleven offensive ones. But the shooting efficiency went the other way completely, and Slavia's twenty-nine assists showed they were moving the ball where Opava's defence could not follow.
By then the gap had grown beyond anything a single run could close. Slavia's forty-four field goals from eighty-one attempts is the sort of efficiency that makes opponents feel like they are already lost before the fourth quarter starts. Opava's sixteen turnovers did not help either, and their twenty-four free throws suggest they were either fouled frequently or had to work harder for every point.

Slavia, meanwhile, look like they might be pushing toward something more, having won two straight against quality opposition. The table does not move much after one game, but momentum is real even when the numbers are small.
