About the player
Ana Tejada Jiménez was the youngest active player in the Spanish Primera División at the age of 16, when she broke into the senior side of EDF Logroño after coming through the club's academy. She stayed there until 2019, when Real Sociedad signed her, and over five seasons in San Sebastián she made 86 league appearances, including the 2021–22 campaign in which the club finished runners-up in Liga F.
In April 2024 Utah Royals paid €300,000 for her, a fee that made Tejada the most expensive Spanish player in the women's game at the time. She marked her first months in Utah with a NWSL Goal of the Week award in September 2024, for a long-range strike against Racing Louisville.
With Spain's youth sides, Tejada won the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup and the UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship in 2018, and was named to the Team of the Tournament at that European Championship in both 2018 and 2019. She added a FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup title in 2022. Her senior debut for Spain came on 11 November 2022, in a friendly against Argentina, and she has since gone on to earn further caps for the national team.
