Blake Gillingham

Blake Gillingham came through Houston Dynamo FC as an undrafted free agent, signing with the club on 14 February 2025 after two college stops. He started out with De Anza Force SC before moving into collegiate soccer, first at Santa Clara University, where he redshirted in his opening year and made four appearances the following season. He then transferred to Creighton University, where his game grew fastest: after starting 11 matches as a sophomore, he took over the goal for all 18 games in his junior year, making 48 saves and keeping four clean sheets. That run earned him BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week honours three times and a place on the conference's All-Academic Team.

The step into Major League Soccer came quickly. Gillingham made his debut for Houston Dynamo FC on 22 March 2025 against Seattle Sounders FC and kept a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw. Eight days later, on 30 March, he became the second-youngest goalkeeper to start a match in the club's history. His contract runs through the 2025 season, with club options that could keep him in Houston through 2028.
