About the player
Byron Carabalí came through Aucas's youth academy and made his senior debut for the club in March 2023.
In June 2025 Carabalí moved to Imbabura SC on loan, playing in Ecuador's Serie B. He made 13 appearances and scored two goals during the spell, a productive return for a defender out on loan. He came back to Aucas in January 2026.
Carabalí has also featured for Ecuador at youth international level. He was named in the squad for the 2023 South American U-20 Championship, hosted in Colombia, where the team finished third. He made one appearance in the tournament.
