Christian Jaeger Cappis

Christian Cappis grew up in Katy, Texas, and made his name at Texans SC Houston, where he helped the club win the 2016–17 USSDA national championship and was named the conference's Player of the Year. FC Dallas's academy took him on for a year, but MLS homegrown-player rules gave Houston Dynamo first rights to him, so instead of signing with the Dallas first team he went to Denmark. Hobro IK took him on a free transfer in 2018, though his stay ended when his work permit was not renewed two years later.

Brøndby IF paid a reported €300,000 for him in the summer of 2021, and it was there that he played, including a loan spell at Molde FK in 2023. In August 2024 he moved on again, joining Viking FK on a permanent deal reported at somewhere between €350,000 and €400,000. Almost exactly a year later, on 24 July 2025, Cappis returned to FC Dallas, the club whose academy had once been unable to keep him, signing through 2027 with a club option for a further year.

On the international stage, Cappis has come up through the United States set-up at U-18, U-20 and U-23 level, scoring twice in two appearances for the U-20s. He was called into the senior USMNT squad in January 2020 and again in March 2021, when he sat as an unused substitute, but a competitive senior debut has yet to come.
