David Brekalo

Brekalo grew up in the NK Bravo academy, joining in 2007 and working through to his senior debut in the Slovenian Second League in August 2017. He helped the club win the Second League title in 2018–19 before establishing himself in the PrvaLiga, making his debut in that division against Olimpija Ljubljana in July 2019. By the time he left Bravo in 2021 he had made well over a hundred appearances and scored 12 goals.

His move to Viking FK in Norway in August 2021: four days after joining, he scored the winning goal in stoppage time against Molde. He went on to make more than sixty appearances for the Norwegian club, was named Eliteserien Player of the Month in August 2023, and left as Viking's record sale when Orlando City signed him in February 2024.

At Orlando City he made his debut against CF Montréal and scored his first goal for the club against D.C. United in April 2024, though a long-term groin injury had kept him out since the previous October. He has also picked up a red card against Inter Miami.

Brekalo made his senior debut for Slovenia against Croatia in March 2022 and got his first international goal against Kazakhstan in a Euro 2024 qualifier. He was part of Slovenia's squad at that tournament.
